What this site collects, and what it doesn't

Effective 4 November 2026.

The short version: this site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the only personal data it asks for is your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

Who is responsible

Small Change Atlas is run by Tony Vu. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Kit, the service that sends the newsletter. You will get one email asking you to confirm; nothing else is sent until you do. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails. Kit records whether emails are opened and links clicked, which tells me which stories are useful. Your address is never sold or shared with sponsors.

Visitor statistics

The site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you, and only reports totals such as page views, referring sites and countries.

Videos

Episode pages show a picture of the video, not the video itself. YouTube is contacted only when you press play, and the player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. From that moment Google's privacy policy applies to the player.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare briefly processes your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse.

Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by writing to the address above. You can also unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
